  3. oh, yeah, he is kind of trashing someone I think (who may deserve it), but also, he is saying nice things about Christina Ricci. Let's be fair.
And at the end he says that he really would like to fall in love too...
oh dear. I think he needs a hug.

but, enough said about Vincent... what is this man with the micro ? I didn't like much his questions.

  11. Hi Mel
I suppose I could compile the articles and interviews into a PDF and upload them. If not go here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.galloappreciation.com/

Click on one of the later dates: 95% of the articles and interviews load, and the other 5% can be accessed at different dates. About 60% of the photos are still there. If the thumbnail shows then most of the time the enlargement will show, but not always. Sometimes a blank thumbnail will actually still have the enlargement. Some of the photos are really great, like VG with his mother, and VG in 4th grade. As I said, I don't think any of the media files are there anymore.

PS The archive can be very slow at times, especially photos.

  12. I don't have access to the rest of my VG collection as its on my external drive, which is across the other side of the world at the moment. Sorry.

  13. Thanks for the great effort. Just thought I'd mention a few little things I've noticed regarding other VG related media. Firstly, the Howard Stern audio interview seems to be cut when you compare it to the actual video interview; swearing at the start has gone; VG saying how he would bukkake Angelica Huston (lol) has gone. Secondly, did anyone notice that when Coppola was on Howard Stern he said that VG's penis in Brown Bunny was a prosthetic! Can't believe no one on the show said anything! Thirdly, on the Muse Film site, if you click digital>behind the scenes> kiss kiss bang bang you get that short documentary that got taken down from youtube a while back. It has VG in a pink leather jacket (lol) saying the infamous: "Listen, you either do it my way or I'll put a wig on a fat fucking truck driver and film your scenes from his back, cos I got your fucking name to finance my film"

  14. Hey thanks for pointing the kiss kiss bang bang clip out, i'd got the other 2 VG lunch clips there but never checked that one out. :-)

  15. yes thank you it was interesting but honestly I prefer to watch again "Buffalo 66" or The brown bunny.
I like to worship him but the movies are far more interesting than these small pieces painfully put together.

  16. Whew - loads of posts :-)

Thanks for the link and the explanation with the articles - I'll try to get as many as possible and put them up on here.

And @quaids: Thanks for the gift :-) And thanks for mentioning it here again because it somehow ended up in my spam-folder.

  17. wow, I'm listening to the brown bunny commentary right now... 1.5hrs of him talking - EXCELLENT so far. I'm only like 13 min in. Pretty awesome. I like his tone. What a guy.

  18. errrr, what happened to yesterday's anonymous post supposedly from Prince Vince himself? The one that said he loved his fans and posted a link to his merchandise page and his phone number. Mel?

  19. I know, I know - I thought about it for a hundred times but as I sort of felt that it probably wasn't done by him and that the number mentioned in the reply was probably a total fake, I decided to have it deleted.

  20. Hi Mel
It was his number! Look here:

That doesn't mean it's him, but you never know!

  22. Can anyone read Korean? A model Daul Kim recently killed herself. She kept a blog, and the Korean media has been tearing through it since. It is now closed to the public, but I read it when she was still alive, and she posted a few times about liking Vincent and his music and look and movies, and relating to his sadness etc. This isn't the point of this comment, just some context.

Anyway, this article popped up today on Google News
    http://www.kgbnews.kr/sub_read.html?uid=8491&section=sc20&section2=

I ran it through babelfish and google translator, but it just makes it more confusing. I can't tell if it's commenting on the fact that she liked him/his music, or something else? It makes it sound like they worked together, or he made something for her because she died? But I can't think of any time they would have worked together, since he modeled in the early 00s, and the stuff he did for Purple, YSL, Supreme, etc recently didn't involve her. But maybe he knew her from when he used to still attend New Yoek Fashion Week in 07/08.

If anyone can clear up if this is something or nothing, that would be great!

  23. yeah that phone number is floating around the net as his office phone or whatever. Selling and buying... I doubt he would post here w/ that, maybe unless the site was just updated or something.

FYI - I saw some posts on flickr recently that showed he performed with the group Broadcast?

I live in LA but never run into him, except for at a show almost a year ago. I didn't have the nerve to talk to him though.

  24. Dear "Hummus",
I don't know if Daul Kim had anything to do with Vincent Gallo, but two days after she died I took the time to read her blog (it was still active then), I read about one year back, and I thought it was very sad because she certainly was a beautiful and interesting person. She loved music (good music).
I could not understand how someone like her end up commit suicide.
If I refer to her (good)taste she certainly loved someone like Vincent Gallo, there was a post saying that she loved "70's" men.
Something like that. But she also made quite clear that she was very sceptical about "love".
I read nothing directly linked with Vincent, if it's what interest you.
Anyway I don't know what is the point to decide whether or not Daul Kim knew Vincent Gallo, all I know is that it is just another sad story.

  28. Did anyone save the pics from the RRIICCEE merch page?

    ReplyDelete
  29. what pics are you referring to? the guitar pick? Might be wrong but isnt that the only thing that was listed under the rriiccee catagory at vg merch?

    ReplyDelete
  30. There used to be a Official RRIICCEE merch page....there was clothing the band painted on....

  31. oh yes, i remember now, sorry. I did a quick look on th eintenret archives searchfacility and can't find any pictures, only the text from the merch page.

  33. Dear Souminoa,
I read her blog from the beginning, and she had talked about liking his music and him, maybe mentioned it briefly. This was probably back in 07 or 08.

I have no idea if they knew each other, it's none of my business and ir doesn't matter. I was just wondering what the Korean article is talking about, because it mentions both of them, but doesn't make any sense in babelfish/google translator as to what they are really talking about.

    Oh, well.

  34. I am a photographer that has several nice shots of Vincent Gallo taken in 1990. You can see a sample of one on my web site at: www.rebeccaz.com Should you have serious interest in purchasing an image of Vincent contact me through the web site.
