Vincent Gallo. Nothing else. My plan to collect all things I find about him just because that's what I do, collecting.
God damn it, they took it down. Please make it available again, internet.
Hi, is the movie shot on a digital camera?
Sorry off topic I just saw The Brown Bunny for the first time, I don't think a movie has ever impacted me as much. It's like it's crawled under my skin. I really got the BJ scene and why it matters and how he broke down after he comes. I'm interested to know what girls thought of it and how it made them feel? It's kind of blown my mind.
The scene never, ever really bothered me and I never got the huge negative fuss that was made about it - it fit perfectly into the movie and I also think it was the best way to portray the state of mind he was in. When it first came out and everyone talked about the scene, I thought he'd just added it in to get Chloe to blow him but when I saw the movie, it totally made sense and I also don't really know why anyone would be offended by it. Or why Chloe would agree to do it, do it and later on complain about it.
Nicholas, I had the same experience as you during my first viewing last month. The movie was so successful in disarming my emotions that during the end I was so unprepared for what happened that I found myself suddenly weeping. Later that night I could barely explain it to my girlfriend without fighting back tears. I think Werner Herzog summed it up quite perfectly in calling it "the best portrayal of the particular loneliness a man feels." It messed me up real good. I really hope that I can one day experience Vincent's other films that have been put away but I can honestly understand his reluctance in showing. He really put himself out there with The Brown Bunny so I can only imagine the kind of hurt and frustration that must have been felt when a few decided to take it upon themselves to sabotage its premiere.
Yes it is.
No film? Digital cinematography?
the "movie: is just a shot of an american flag in slow motion in the wind with a soundtrack of vincent gallo singing a slow bersion of the american anthem.
You just made it sound more interesting! If anyone knows how to watch it online please share.
I would really like to see the film too. If anyone has access to it I'm happy to share with them my vincent gallo collection. i have books, records, movie stuff. let me know.
I have it but i'm not willing to share it with anybody, sorry.
Why even reply here then?
To be annoying I assume ;)
Is this blog still alive or is it not?
It pretty much is - there just isn't a lot happening right now concerning Mr Gallo (sadly)...
or it is happening a lot and the man is making a movie... :)
I love you dear Vincent ... There will always be love for Vincent Gallo. Truly.
New post over at vincentvitogallo.blogspot.com :)
John Frusciante released some free music on bandcamp. One song is titled Anea 18. Remember Anea 17 listed on Gallo's short film page?
Anyone have US wins world cup or any other video interview?
